The Collective Shows Winter 2023 events staged over the last two weeks and included both West and East Coast editions of Active Collective, as well as our West Coast Swim Collective market. The shows saw about a 13% increase in attendance over our Winter 2022 markets and brought new attention to exhibiting brands at our first ever Runway Shows.
Active Collective California kicked off the event’s first Runway Show on January 17 featuring Varley, Splits59, Sweaty Betty, and Beyond Yoga. Jumpsuits were the trend of the night. The event took place during the Evening Reception and had the Blue Room at the Paséa Hotel and Spa packed with attending retailers. DJ Lindsay Luv kept the vibe high from the turntables as our first models rocked the runway.

The following morning, the Blue Room transformed into an ocean-view Barre3 class hosted by Nicki Insley and Z Supply Active. Retailers had a chance to experience the brand’s newest addition “All Day Active” and ear seeding by OC local, Magnolia Wellness.
On January 19, Swim Collective hosted their first Runway Show to an audience even larger than that at Active Collective. Featured brands included OneOne Swim, Stone Fox Swim, Robin Piccone, Body Glove, Eidon, and Skye with styles from colorful and trendy separates, to classic and elegant one-pieces. DJ Lindsay Luv was back on the turntables bringing out the best in our models and the whole crowed.
Retailers were invited to again attend a morning fitness event in the Blue Room the following day; HIGHX sponsored by Laird Apparel was led by legendary athlete Gabby Reece and supported by her husband, Laird Hamilton. Retailers and brands were invited to jumpstart their days with an energizing circuit-style class followed by gifting and refreshments. Both show days included fresh coconuts sponsored by ALOHA Collection.
Our upcoming Summer 2023 markets include Swim Collective on June 13 + 14, Active Collective New York on August 16 + 17, and Active Collective California on August 22 + 23. Both California markets are beginning early preparation for our next Runway Shows, hosted during the Sunset Reception on show day 1. Additional activations and events are in the works as we continue to transform the Collective Shows into a market with deep and meaningful engagement.
