Amazon Prime Gaming rewards for League of Legends are great for LoL players to get free rewards with their Prime membership, will they be discontinued in 2023?
Amazon Prime Gaming offers monthly rewards to players of various games who connect their accounts to their Amazon Prime membership. The company’s monthly League of Legends rewards were part of this program, offering RP, skins, champion shards, and even Mythic Essences for free to eligible players each month.
However, with the Prime Gaming Capsule current calendar ending in January, will it be gone in 2023?
Will Amazon Prime Gaming Perks End With LoL?
Throughout the last year there has been a Prime Gaming capsule for League of Legends players. This can be claimed through the Prime Gaming website by connecting your Riot Games account to your Prime Gaming account. These capsules contain Eternals, Skin Permanents, Champion Shards, and Mythic Essences.
However, the last of these monthly capsules will expire on January 27th, and Prime Gaming’s schedule won’t show any more capsules after that.
League of Legends fans have taken note of this, and have taken to social media platforms such as Reddit to express their disappointment that the program’s continuation has yet to be announced. Prime Gaming seems unlikely to scrap the world’s largest video game rewards program, but the success of that program to Prime Gaming will determine whether it continues.
While it may be unlikely, since no official continuation has been announced, die-hard fans should keep their expectations in check and prepare as if it were to be shut down for good.
It’s also possible that Prime Gaming will continue with the rewards issue, but the capsule program will be closed. Previously, Prime Gaming rewards were individual skins instead of capsules containing multiple rewards. The Capsule Rewards Program may be discontinued, but rewards may continue in another form.
