WASHINGTON, DC – Republicans were to win the US midterm elections. Political parties in power usually don’t get along in them. high inflation. The same goes for gasoline prices. Instead, it was a historically good election for Democrats. They keep the Senate and may win a seat in the Senate if Georgia’s runoff goes well. At the time of writing, they may still keep the House.
In the face of this crushing defeat, and in light of the fact that the Republican Party has fared so well in one state, Florida, many Republican strategists and properties owned by Rupert Murdoch have been criticized by former President Donald Trump. , supporters For some of the more extreme candidates who lost in these elections, that’s all. And the future of the party rests with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Aside from the fact that these election blunders can’t be put entirely at Trump’s feet, if abortion is a major issue for voters, Republicans should ask themselves a 50-year march to subversion. Law vs Wade And introducing strict state laws against this procedure was worth it. This conclusion forgets that to beat Trump you have to actually beat Trump.
I am not fair on this issue. Trump, who denied the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election and reportedly wanted his supporters to march in arms toward the Capitol in Washington, D.C. I think it’s a unique danger. Frankly, I hope it’s true that Trumpism is no longer the Republican Party.
But I also remember when Trump defeated 10 other candidates in 2016. I remember how many candidates he insulted. We remember him, who had an indirect role in endangering the lives of Republican senators after the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol, decided not to impeach. I remember being told many times that Trump was over. And I’m sure Republican pundits intended it that way, every time. But their voters didn’t.
We now believe DeSantis is the future of the Republican Party. But campaigning in the state and campaigning in the country are two very different things. Time and time again, we’ve seen one state’s up-and-coming star crash and burn when it’s introduced to the country.

And that ignores the fact that a good portion of the Republican Party is still obsessed with Trump. Despite some candidates suggesting Trump may be over, others, such as J.D. Vance, say that he thinks Trump could still be the future. I’m in a hurry to make sure we all know.
This is not just a voter issue. Republican politicians and pundits have a choice. They can refuse to campaign with Trump. They can refuse to support or defend him. If he seems to be winning, they can refuse to give up their principles and continue to condemn him. .
Trump will end when they beat him, not when Republicans want him out. For the sake of my country, I sincerely hope that you will have more courage than ever before.
