Earlier this week, former President Donald Trump announced that he would run for president again in 2024.
In his announcement, he drew attention to certain Senate elections underway. Mr Trump said everyone “must work hard” for Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker, who will be in the runoff.
“Despite the results in the Senate, we must not lose hope,” Trump said after Democrats won the numbers needed to hold the Senate.
“We must all work hard for a gentleman and great man named Herschel Walker. This great man loves our country and will be a great United States Senator. Herschel Walker, go out and vote for Herschel, he deserves it, he’s an incredible athlete and would make an even better Senator. Please vote for.”
It will be a few more weeks before the country knows the results of the Georgia election.
The Georgia Senate runoff election is scheduled for December 6.
