delay‘Dark Waters’, the seventh studio album by the Dutch symphonic metal band, marks a new chapter for the group. LP is the first studio album to feature Diana Lear on vocals and Ludovico Coffi on bass guitar. Also returning are original guitarist Ronald Landa and drummer Sander Zohr.
So after a dramatic line-up change (longtime singer Charlotte Wessels leaving the band in 2021), keyboardist and songwriter Martijn Westerholt has decided to move on. Delain is alive and well, symphonic with his metal vibe renewed. Just listen to their new work and see for yourself.
A few days ago, Kaojin sat with Martin Westerholt Talking about this new era of the band. The process of resilience and the will to move forward. Outside of the music, Westerholt tells us how he experienced the semi-final match between the Netherlands and Argentina in his 2022 Qatar World Cup.
