“The Simpsons” has done it again.
“The Simpsons” producer Al Jean pointed out Wednesday that the hit FOX show once again “predicted the future.”
Following Trump’s announcement that he would run for president in 2024, producers Tweeted a clip from the 2015 episode Features Homer Simpson and a presidential election sign that reads “Trump 2024”.
Another Trump-related clip is from the episode “Bart to the Future,” which aired in 2000, where the audience watches President Lisa Simpson talk about President Trump, NME reported. .
“As you know, we inherited a significant budget cut from President Trump,” President Simpson said in a snippet shared by Gene on Twitter.
“@TheSimpsons predicted for 2015,” the producer tweeted.
Trump made his campaign announcement after months of speculation about whether he would seek a third presidential election.
“I am announcing my candidacy for President of the United States tonight to make America great and bright again,” Trump said.
This isn’t the first time “The Simpsons” have been said to have predicted the future.
According to the show, they predicted the death of Britain’s monarch, Queen Elizabeth, and the resignation of beleaguered British Prime Minister Liz Truss.
In 2019, the show also allegedly predicted the Capitol riots and Ted Cruz’s ill-timed trip to Cancun while the Texans struggled with the bitter cold.
