Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy signed a general TV deal with Amazon under the Intrepid Pictures banner. variety Confirmed with sources.
Intrepid previously had an overall deal with Netflix. During its time there, the company had multiple hit shows in the horror genre, including ‘Hill House Haunting’ and ‘Bly Manor Haunting’, ‘Midnight Mass’ and ‘Midnight Club’. Flanagan was the first of his three creators of the aforementioned series, as well as co-creator of the fourth. Macy executives produced everything.
Flanagan and Macy said: “Their commitment to engaging in groundbreaking series and content aligns with the spirit we have built at Intrepid. We look forward to bringing our work to services and audiences around the world.”
Intrepid still has at least one project out on Netflix. It is the limited series “The Fall of the House of Usher”. The series presents contemporary retellings of Edgar Allan Poe’s famous stories while drawing on other Poe works. At the time of this publication, there is no premiere date yet.

Intrepid also produces a number of feature films. They include ‘Doctor Sleep’, a follow-up to Stephen King’s ‘The Shining’ and based on King’s book of the same name. Others include “Hush,” “Before I Wake,” and “Gerald’s Game.” Flanagan directed, wrote or co-wrote all of these Macy-produced films.
