The Daily Mail can reveal today that a white supremacist group is operating at the headquarters of the Special Air Service.
Detectives questioned a Special Forces soldier who shared a “racist” image on WhatsApp.
The group uses the name “NSO”, commonly deployed as an acronym for the US neo-Nazi group National Socialist Order.
The emails grabbed screengrabs from conversations between NSO members, including bizarre mock-up photos of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.

The meaning of the image is unclear, but white supremacists describe Harry as a “racial traitor” who married a woman to an African-American mother.
Soldiers at Base Hereford also shared a video of a naked, elderly Afro-Caribbean woman. Another image showed a black man’s forearm and the inscription “Truck Driver Sunscreen Contest Winner.”
With chapters around the world, NSO members advocate violence against Muslims, Jews and gays.
The profile picture of the SAS group is also disturbing because it features a clenched white fist, a symbol often used to represent white defiance and protest against diversity.
The SIB, the investigative arm of the Royal Military Police, is leading the investigation.
SAS sources say the group has shared even more offensive material, leading to protests from Afro-Caribbean and Polynesian militaries.
One insider said, “The photos and captions being shared in the group were ridiculous. There are racists.
“They don’t realize how offensive this type of material is to the black military. I don’t want to join the operation with the white soldiers who are there.”

SAS soldiers with the motto “Who Dares Wins” were ordered to conduct diversity training following the discovery of the group.
Minority soldiers are greatly underrepresented in the 250-strong SAS and other Special Forces units.
The NSO WhatsApp group contains senior soldiers with frontline operational experience.
As part of a racism investigation, senior officials are trying to identify all members of the group.
A SIB investigation may result in the removal of soldiers. A London Metropolitan Police officer has been sentenced to jail for sharing offensive content on a WhatsApp group.

A Department of Defense spokesman said, “Any form of racist views or behavior will not be tolerated by the military. Any activity that falls short of the military’s high standards will not be tolerated.
“We are aware of offensive comments and images posted by WhatsApp group service personnel. These are being investigated by the Army and are inappropriate to comment on.
