Cora was a big girl and would just walk downstairs. I can still vividly remember her coming into the living room with a smile on her face.”
The family “always started the day together reading books, cuddling on the couch, playing with magnetic tiles. On Saturday, Patrick Clancy shared personal details about his children and how they made his days shine.
His oldest, five years old, Cora said, “She had an infectious laugh and was stunningly beautiful. She was a cautious person, but that’s really because she was so caring. I said I wanted to be a doctor and a mom, and I was going to practice by doing Karan’s checkups,” wrote Patrick Clancy.
His middle child, 3-year-old Dawson, “had beautiful, bold brown eyes full of friendship. Always willing to share his toys with others. For all the love he received, he always gave back more,” wrote Patrick Clancy.
And eight-month-old baby Karan, “was our easygoing one. I always said it was because he was our third child. He was born with little fuss and flocked. “It was the best sleeper by far. He was an incredibly happy, energetic baby who always had a smile on his face,” wrote Patrick Clancy.

Patrick Clancy also shared intimate details about his relationship with his wife, including “love at first sight” when they first met.

I am as proud to be her husband as I am to be a father.” I still remember the moment I saw her for the first time and I remember being overwhelmed by the kind of love at first sight that you only see in movies. It didn’t take.”
“We said ‘I love you’ to each other many times each day like a reflex. We habitually started each morning with a passionate hug and a sigh of relief as if we had received the perfect medicine.” Patrick Clancy wrote, “After hours passed without a hug, she looked at me and asked, ‘Did you forget? We had a mutual understanding of the reality that people can have bad days, but we stuck to the rule that when one of us got lost, the other was always there to go home. Did. She loved being her nurse, but nothing matched her strong love for our children and her dedication to being their mother. It was all he ever wanted. Her passion has taught me how to be a better father to her. ”
The grieving father also thanked the Duxbury community, first responders, religious leaders and medical workers who had recently helped him and his family.

The warmth I have received from the community is palpable and your generosity gives me hope that I can focus on some kind of healing.” I’ve reviewed all the messages and posts, some from people I haven’t seen in over 10 years, and others I haven’t met.
