Rick Scott I keep predicting donald trump is scheduled to run in 2024, and he expects an announcement at some point. But Scott said an announcement will be made in the next few weeks, not Monday night.
“I would be stunned,” he told Boston’s WRKO radio about the rumors Trump will announce at Monday’s Ohio rally. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he ran for office, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he announced sooner than that in the next few weeks.
“President Trump is committed to making sure we win every race. JD Vance, has endorsed quite a few people and he wants them to win. He has held meetings for the people. He’s doing phone town halls. He’s doing everything he can to make sure we win.”
Scott said the same thing on an earlier radio hit Monday afternoon.
“I don’t know when we will announce it. I wouldn’t be surprised if he runs. I think there are quite a few people who want to run for president. So let’s see how it goes.” Scott told the audience WBT in Charlotte.

Trump is expected to make an announcement soon. Scott remains officially noncommittal about such a move.
During an appearance on Sunday morning’s Meet the Press, Scott deflected when asked if he supported Trump’s third run for the White House.
“There’s probably going to be a lot of people to announce[from now on]. We’ll see what happens. I’m focused on getting a majority in the Senate,” Scott told the host. Chuck Todd.
Scott’s non-answer tracks previous failures to provide a definitive answer to the same question.
“There are a lot of people trying to run for president,” Scott told CNN. Erin Burnett in July. “They’re going to make a decision when they want to run. If President Trump or anyone else wants to make an announcement, they’ll do it.”

“I can’t think of anything. You know what? DeSantis has a governor’s race,” Scott said. I think a lot of people will run for office because they know how to do it.”
