The wealth of Catherine Tikhonov
Younger daughter Katerina Tikhonova (35) is a technology chief whose work supports the Russian government and the defense industry.
She started as a “rock and roll” dancer before moving into the world of artificial intelligence.
In 2013, his daughter Katerina married Kiril Shamalov, whose father Nikolaj is a longtime friend of the president.
Nikolai Shamalov is a shareholder in Bank Rossiya, which US officials have described as the personal bank of the Russian elite.
They got married in a secret ceremony at the Igor ski resort north of St. Petersburg.
It was then announced that the couple entered the ceremony on a sleigh pulled by three white horses.
All the invited guests swore secrecy, and the Kremlin never confirmed that the wedding took place.
“I have a private life in which I do not allow interference,” Putin once said. “That has to be respected.”
The couple had about $ 2 billion in corporate holdings, according to Reuters, mostly from their large stake in Sibur Holding, a large gas and petrochemical company that Kiril bought from another of Putin’s longtime friends, Gennady Timchenko.
Kiril also bought Timchenko’s luxury villa in the seaside resort of Biarritz, in southern France, which is estimated to be worth about $ 3.7 million.
Last month, pro-Ukrainian activists took over the house in response to Russia’s brutal invasion.
