Prince Harry shares his appreciation for farming in his memoir ‘Spare’
In a recently published book, Prince Harry tells how a brief stint as a cowherd, also known as a Jackaroo, on an Australian farm helped him cope with the busy life of a celebrity.

According to Nielsen BookData, Prince Harry’s memoir Spare is the fastest-selling book in the UK. No wonder so many people want to know more about the stories surrounding the British royal family.
According to the book, Prince Harry, who was 19 at the time, was sent to a ranch owned by a family friend in Queensland, Australia, to fill a gap year after leaving school. There were also reports that he tried cannabis regularly and was intoxicated with alcohol.
Prince Harry shares that his family believes hard work is the answer to everything. In that brief stay at his ranch he learned a lesson very clearly.
Harry recounts his labor-intensive day, moving cattle across vast plains from early morning until dusk, and even searching for stray cattle all night long. Although he tries to be all over the farm, there is one thing he always avoids. It’s bull spaying.
Although his trip was cut short by the paparazzi, Prince Harry says a short stay on an Australian farm has made him fall in love with farming, especially cattle.
