Prince Harry’s decision to marry Meghan Markle was made with his heart.
In the first episode of the couple’s Netflix documentary series, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reflected on their early romance and quick connection. Formerly married American actress Meghan Markle was not your typical royal bride.
“I think that for so many people in the family, especially men obviously, there is a temptation or urge to marry someone who fits the mold as opposed to someone you are probably destined to be with.
“It’s the difference between making decisions with your head or making decisions with your heart,” Prince Harry continued, thinking of his mother, Princess Diana. I made the decision wholeheartedly, and I am my mother’s son.”

Reflecting on his mother on the show, Prince Harry said he had no “early memories” of Princess Diana, who died at the age of 12.
“Most of my memory is swarming with paparazzi,” he continued. Don’t react, don’t feed into it’ advice. ”
He said, “There was always drama, stress, and my fair share of tears and the public pressure to witness those tears. I see it on my mother’s face all the time. Maybe I’m what Who am I? What am I part of?”
Elsewhere in the series, Prince Harry said his family was “incredibly impressed” when they met Meghan for the first time.
“I think they were surprised,” he said. “You might be surprised that ginger can get such beautiful women and such intelligent women.”
“But the fact that I was dating an American actress was probably what clouded their judgment more than anything in the first place. ‘Oh, she’s an American actress. This won’t last.’
Meghan agreed that “the actress was the biggest issue” as their relationship blossomed.

The Duchess of Sussex has also had to adjust to both British cultural differences and royal mores. He said it was time to come to dinner with the Prince.
“I remember being barefoot in ripped jeans,” Meghan said. did.”
“I think you’ll soon start to understand that the formalities on the outside carry over to the inside,” she continued. It was a surprise to me.”
“Looking back on it now, it’s very funny, because I know a lot now,” Meghan added. So I’m very glad I didn’t.”

Meghan also admitted to bowing too much when she first met Prince Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.
“And I remember we were in the car, driving, and he was like, ‘You know how to bow, right?’ I just thought it was a joke,” said the 41-year-old. Meghan said blankly.
“How do you explain that to people?” added Prince Harry, 38. “How do you explain the need to bow to grandma and bow? Especially to Americans. That’s strange.”
