Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been the subject of praise on Twitter after Meghan Kelly made a number of derogatory remarks about the couple.
Kelly, who was fired from NBC’s “Today” in 2018 after defending blackface on air, spoke about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on Tuesday’s episode of her podcast, “The Megyn Kelly Show.” We interviewed royal author Christopher Andersen about his forthcoming book, The King: The Life of Charles III, due out November 8th.
During the interview, Kelly repeatedly criticized Meghan, most notably taking issue with the Duchess of Sussex referring to Prince Harry as “my husband” on her podcast, “Archetypes.”
Meghan and Harry married in May 2018 and have two children, Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1.
On Tuesday’s episode of “Archetypes,” Meghan spoke enthusiastically about Harry’s parenting skills during a conversation with Pamela Adlon.
“Oh my husband?” Meghan said. “Oh, he’s great!”
Kelly said on the podcast that she and her producer caught Meghan calling Harry her husband.
“We get it,” she said of how Meghan referred to Harry after pretending to be Meghan and repeatedly saying “my husband” in a mocking tone. I put it in.”
“Congratulations! You got a big bear,” Kelly continued. “You want us to know.”
Fans of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex responded to Kelly’s comments by posting affectionate photos of Meghan and Harry or a solo shot of Harry with #MeghansHusband, highlighting the love between the couple. was trending on Twitter.
Many also suggested that Kelly’s comments contained racist overtones in her tweet

In the same podcast episode, Kelly called Meghan a “liar” for saying she knew nothing about Harry before they started dating.
She also tried to downplay Meghan and Harry’s allegations that members of the royal family made racist comments about Archie’s skin tone, saying that questioning what a child would look like was “racist.” I’m not a philosopher,” he said.
