A Prince Harry and Meghan Markle documentary series is set to debut on Netflix in early December, multiple sources told Page Six — but there are still plenty of conflicts.
According to sources, Netflix and the series’ filmmakers were confused when some of the comments Harry would make in the upcoming book contradicted what he and his wife said on camera.
“A lot of the show contradicted what Harry wrote, so that was the problem,” a senior Netflix source revealed.
“Harry and Meghan then made an important request. [to filmmakers] For their own projects, to trace back the content they themselves provided,” the source added.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had hoped to keep the Netflix show running until next year as it continues to be edited, but as Page Six previously revealed, Netflix’s chief executives have decided that it will begin on November 5th. claimed to stream after the fifth season of The Crown.
Multiple sources now confirm that Netflix is sticking with its guns and the Sussex series that was the couple’s idea will debut in early December.
The Sussexes, who have been shooting with Brooklyn director Liz Garbus for over a year, are believed to have talked a lot about the royal family in front of the camera, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, King Charles and Queen Camilla. I’m here. Reportedly wanted to edit part of it now.
They need to finish the project quickly, as it will take weeks for Netflix to edit and translate it into other languages.
“Netflix needs months to do all of the formats and dubbing, subtitling and audio to allow for a launch on the platform,” a Netflix source told Page Six.
Harry’s memoir does not yet have a publication date.
