Veterans Day is celebrated in the United States on November 11th each year. This is the same time the UK celebrates its anniversary. Veterans Day is a federal holiday in the United States that honors veterans of the United States Armed Forces, dating back to the end of World War I.
In addition to their emotional tribute, Harry and Meghan honored the meaningful opportunity by closing their offices, as stipulated in their out-of-office email reply.
Prince Harry served for 10 years
“In honor of Veterans Day and Remembrance Day, our office will be closed on Friday, November 11,” the message reads.
Remembrance Day military leave is especially memorable for Prince Harry, who was a Captain in the British Army. During his ten-year tenure, the Duke conducted two front-line tours of Afghanistan.
Last year, the two made a special trip to McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Army Base in New Jersey to mark Veterans Day. During the visit, Meghan and Harry met servicemen from all six of his branches of the military and hosted a luncheon for servicemen and their spouses.
