Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have committed to telling their love story through a Netflix documentary series. Harry & Meghan.
And if nothing else, it’s clear they did it. How the two royals met, how their first date played out, how he proposed (in “Downward-Facing Dog,” he quipped), the love between the two royals is palpable.
Through a difficult time, we see the Duke and Duchess of Sussex holding hands and reassuring each other that they are safe, sharing intimate moments with inside jokes and lots of affection. We often laugh and look lovingly into each other’s eyes.
And if that’s not enough to prove how genuine the love between them is, as we’ve seen over and over again over the past few years, both have to make huge sacrifices to get together. Without so much love between them, it would be difficult to argue that they could have made these choices.
“Whatever people think of Harry and Meghan, today, from the first episode of their Netflix series, no one can doubt it. [that] It’s a love match between two people who are deeply and unconditionally in love,” says Sally Baker, relationship expert and senior therapist at Working on the Body. Marie Claire.
“Whether or not we can find out the full plot of what happened to the couple, and the royal family will always be plagued with controversy and heresy,” she continues.
“What is clear is that something went terribly wrong and not only the family, but the country missed out on the energy and insight of two young people who would have helped the royal family connect and be relevant for generations to come. They are our loss.”
