Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the royal family in 2020, but according to the former royal chef, the Duke of Sussex’s departure had nothing to do with his marriage. Here’s what the former royal chef said about Harry and his relatives that he most resembles.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry married in May 2018 and announced their decision to “step back” from royal duties in January 2020.

A source in The Royal Reporter’s Katie Nicholl claimed the siblings had a falling out around Christmas 2018 when Harry confronted William for not accepting Meghan as part of the family.
“Harry felt William wasn’t rolling out the red carpet for Meghan and said yes,” Nicole’s source said (per Cosmopolitan). It was only resolved when I intervened and asked William to make an effort.”
And in April, Harry told Hoda Kotb: today Shows that he is most at home in the US. “For the time being, my home is in the United States,” he said (via the New York Post). “And it feels that way, too.” When asked if he missed the family he left behind in England, Harry only replied with a vague “Of course.”

Former Royal Patisserie Chef Fiona Barton opens up about her experience working in Windsor Castle’s pastry kitchen. Burton, who she speaks for Slingo, always knew Prince Harry would “rebel” against the royal family, she said.
“I think it’s always been that way with Harry, to be honest. I doubt if it was, but I don’t know if it’s true.I wasn’t surprised because he was the one who wanted to be free in them.”
The pastry chef added that she didn’t think Markle would influence him to leave the royal family. He is, and he has this independence and a strong tendency to not want to be tied down to royalty, but his siblings are completely different. William is more like his father.”

Prince William may resemble his father, King Charles, but according to a former royal pastry chef, Prince Harry looks more like another member of the royal family: his grandfather, Prince Philip.
“He was the one who laughed the most,” Burton said of Harry.
The chef also shared that Prince Philip is the only member of the royal family who has “actually spoken” to the pastry chef’s kitchen staff.
“I really liked him. He had a comical side to him and was very friendly,” Burton recalls. “The way he spoke to the chef, and even I felt like he was interested and wanted to hear. He was the one to actually talk to us.”
