Philadelphia (WPVI) — Police say a suspect in a stolen white jeep is responsible for the multiple car crash that killed a 78-year-old woman in Philadelphia’s Mantova section on Wednesday.
The crash was captured on security video.
The vehicle is seen speeding down the 3700 block of Fairmount Avenue and crashing into two cars parked on the right. The vehicle then flips over and pops out of the frame.
Police said the Jeep Grand Cherokee would hit a total of six vehicles.

After several hundred yards, the vehicle stopped and the occupants fled.
One of the vehicles that was hit was a silver Mercury SUV with a 78-year-old woman in the driver’s seat.
The woman, identified by her family as Julia Abraham, was killed.

Her sister was with her, walking to the corner store to play the lottery at the time of the crash.
“That’s my sister. My sister. We were two peas in a pod. I love my sister. I love my whole family, but it’s my sister.”
Through her extreme grief, she managed to speak out about the need to stop the violence in the city.
“People are running, hitting people, killing people.
We also spoke with Wendell Zellers, who said that Julia used to babysit the children.
“I miss Julia already. She always said, ‘If you want me to babysit, bring the baby.’ I miss her. We were always joking. I was joking all the time,” Zellars said.
At this point, detectives say the suspect is still on the run.
Abraham’s sister, on the other hand, says that a part of her is gone.
“I’m so sad. Nothing can put her back together, but God will take care of her. Trust me, she’s with God. Trust me,” her sister said. Told.
