Nov 16 (Reuters) – Peloton Interactive Inc (PTON.O) will sell exercise bikes and other fitness accessories on e-commerce giant Amazon.com Inc’s UK platform to combat slowing demand. The start was announced on Wednesday.

The company’s exit from exclusive sales on its own e-commerce site and global showrooms is the latest in Chief Executive Barry McCarthy’s strategy to win more customers, reduce losses and improve cash flow. One.
In mainland Britain, Peloton says its bikes are available for home delivery, and first-time customers can choose to assemble them themselves or choose a professional assembly option.
The company generated about 8% of its international sales in the first quarter ended Sept. 30. There is no revenue breakdown based on region.
The Peloton will also be available in Amazon’s German store in the coming weeks.
Shares of the New York-based company rose 1.7% to $12 in premarket trading.
