CRYSTAL PALACE boss Patrick Vieira has refused to rule out a transfer move for Conor Gallagher.
The 22-year-old impressed at West Brom on loan last season before Chelsea sent him to Selhurst Park last summer for further experience.
However, the midfielder has found another level with the Eagles and has continued to flourish.
Gallagher has produced eight goals and three assists this term in his 34 Premier League appearances.
And his performances were rewarded by England manager Gareth Southgate, who handed him an international debut.
He is due to return to Chelsea for pre-season training with Thomas Tuchel keen to have a closer look at the ace before deciding whether to include him in his first-team plans.
But rumours have also been mounting that he could be heading back to Palace on loan.
Vieira insists that he would love to keep Gallagher longer, and even though he is unsure over what will happen next, he refused to rule out having him next term.
The Frenchman said: “Conor has been fantastic for us.
“He felt like he is at home the way he has been performing for us. He understands the way that we want to play the game, and he brings his energy and his determination.

“We know that he has to go back to Chelsea. Then, what will happen? We don’t know.
“But what is important is that he came for a year, and he worked hard and worked well, and he gave something to the team and the football club. It was a win-win.
“He was really happy with us. He played really well, which allowed him to go to England.
“He’s happy, so we are happy.”
When asked previously about it, Vieira had said: “Of course we are and I am really pleased with the year we spent together.
“He’s been really good to us and we will have to wish him good luck if he goes back to Chelsea. If there is a possibility to bring him back, we will definitely talk about it.”
