Mike Tindall is likely to be criticized by fellow ‘I’m A Celebrity’ contestants for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, according to a royal expert. Former British royal correspondent Charles Ray , the former England rugby player said he would be asked about Sussex living in the United States after retiring from royal duties, especially royal duties, by other stars who “want to play pranks”.
But Ray insisted Zara Tindall’s husband was “smart” and wouldn’t reveal any royal “secrets”.
On behalf of Slingo, a royal expert said:
“He’s smart and I don’t think he’ll reveal family secrets.
“But that doesn’t mean some people don’t want to play pranks, just ask him questions about the royal family, especially Harry and Meghan.
“Mike has appeared on various shows in the past and has kept quiet about family matters.
“If there are any conversations about his royal family, they will mostly be about what the general public knows.
“The royal family has dealt with everything over the last few years, so I’m sure they will deal with it should Mike speak out of turn.
“I’m sure he’s discussed the matter, especially with Zara and the palace’s senior aide.”
The latest series of ITV shows filmed in the Australian jungle starts tonight.
Mike is the first extended member of the royal family to join the I’m A Celebrity lineup.
The 44-year-old joins singer Boy George, former Love Island contestant Olivia Atwood and recently joined former Health Secretary Matt Hancock among others.
Mike admits he will miss his wife, whom he married in 2011, and their three children.
“I miss my family first and foremost. I miss my bed and a nice breakfast.”
The athlete also said he was inspired to join the show by his friend and former I’m A Celebrity contestant James Haskell.
Mike said:
“The timing was good this year, Husk[James]was doing the show and he was talking about it.”
He also joked that he would have no problem eating the show’s infamous offering at the Bush Tucker Trial.
He added: “I’m eight years out of the game now, so I’m a little more realistic about food, but I know James said the lack of food can be hard sometimes.
“But at least you get the food by tasting it. It might not taste great, but at least it serves a purpose and you get protein. Take on these challenges.”
