However, royal commentator Jonathan Sacerdotti told the Daily News about the arrangement between the OTT platform and the couple, saying, “One of the reasons why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not taken a firm stand with Netflix over their refusal is It makes me wonder. To make their series, it’s that they didn’t change that kind of approach to ‘The Crown’.
“I wonder if it’s some sort of deal they have, verbal or unspoken, to see them left alone in the crown if they deliver their version of the story.”
Meanwhile, ‘The Crown’ creator Peter Morgan has confirmed that the series will end with Season 6 set in the early 2000s. not.
Sacerdotti added that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be able to “complete an extra piece of the jigsaw puzzle” with each series of events.
He added, “I certainly don’t think it’s desirable for Meghan and Harry to describe recent events in The Crown. That’s why they’re so enthusiastic about it. This Netflix series could be the extra piece in the storytelling jigsaw puzzle.”
