Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Wales’ appearance together after Meghan Markle’s death could indicate the couple are mending their relationship, ‘not a PR stunt’ The two couples carried out a series of joint engagements following the news of Queen Elizabeth II’s death on Sept. 8.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who live in the United States, happened to be in the UK for a series of charity events.
On September 10, the two royals surprised attendees by walking together for 40 minutes outside Windsor Castle.
It was believed to be the first public appearance of the four royals, known as the “Fab Four”, since March 2020.
In early 2020, the Duke and Duchess announced they would step back from royal duties and move across the pond.
Grant Harold, the reigning king’s former butler, said he found it a “lovely” and “emotional” scene to see the two royal pairs reunite.
He said there was little evidence that “they weren’t patching up” and speculation that they weren’t communicating could not be substantiated because they were a “private family”.
He added:
“And when I saw the four of them, I thought, this isn’t just a PR stunt, it doesn’t make sense.”

They attended the entire ceremony leading up to the funeral, with Harry watching over his grandmother’s coffin with the rest of the Queen’s grandchildren.
After walking with his brother during the coffin procession from Westminster Hall to the Abbey, Prince Harry sat alongside Meghan inside the building, just behind the new king and queen.
The couple then left the monastery behind the Welsh family and served a devotional service at St George’s Chapel later that day.
