Close friends and family celebrated Lilibet’s first birthday with a casual backyard picnic at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor over Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee weekend.
At the anniversary celebration, King Charles met his granddaughter for the first time. “It’s been great to have them back in the UK. [Charles and Camilla] A royal insider said this summer, “Of course I haven’t seen my grandson Archie in a while, so it was very, very special to spend time with him. He hadn’t met his granddaughter Lilibet. So it was very moving to meet her for the first time, and I think it’s a wonderful thing.”
Grandpa Charles wasn’t in attendance for Lilibet’s birthday, but photographer Misan Harriman and his family were in attendance, and from the video above, Harry and Meghan’s friend Misha Nonoo was also there. Other attendees were Zara and Mike Tindall, and their three children, Mia, Lena, and Lucas, as well as Peter Phillips and his daughters Savannah and Ira.

Baker Claire Ptak, who made Harry and Meghan’s wedding cake in 2018, made Lilibet’s birthday cake. I wish her a happy year!” Ptak wrote on his Instagram in June. Ptak shared that she made the same lemon and elderflower cake she made for Meghan and Harry’s 2018 wedding, but for little Lili she opted for strawberry buttercream frosting.
