Meghan Markle and Prince Harry honor service personnel on Remembrance Day and Veterans Day.

Last year, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry paid a surprise visit to a military base in New Jersey to mark Veterans Day. At a luncheon for military personnel and their spouses at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, Meghan and Harry discussed topics such as mental health and the importance of community.
Their stop in New Jersey came the day after they attended the 2021 Salute to Freedom Gala at the Intrepid Museum in New York City. In a prepared remark at the gala, Prince Harry spoke about what members of the quarantine service often feel upon his return, stressing the importance of supporting veterans.
“My experience in the military made me who I am today, and I will always be grateful to the people I have had the opportunity to work with, wherever I am in the world,” said Harry.
