The full-back is Jurgen Klopp’s third signing of the summer, following the deals for Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho.

The 18-year-old was nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award in Scotland following an impressive season for Aberdeen.

Ramsay has three appearances for the Scotland U21 side, with a breakthrough to the first team not far away.

Providing five assists in 22 appearances in the Scottish Premiership, he holds the attacking traits Liverpool utilise so well from their full backs.

Despite his young age, Ramsay has already suggested he is looking to make waves in the first team at Anfield.

He told the club website: “There’s obviously a pathway here – that’s one of the reasons I chose it as well. It’s not just a massive club, they give young players chances in the first team.

“So if I can come in in pre-season, put my mark down, then there’s no reason why I can’t push to get in the first-team squad.”

Unfortunately for Ramsay, he looks set to do battle with Trent Alexander-Arnold for a starting place in the future years.

The England international has enjoyed a highly successful start to his career, winning the Premier League and Champions League already.

The signing of the 18-year-old looks set to be the end of Liverpool’s business this summer, as Sadio Mane confirms his move to Bayern Munich.
