When people like TV doctor Mehmet Oz and football star Herschel Walker, the latter scandal-plagued and seemingly unable to think clearly, are serious candidates for public office, It turns out that the country is in trouble.
Major issues ranged from inflation to abortion to electoral denial. The results may or may not delay President Joe Biden’s agenda, but the real problem emerging from yesterday’s election is Donald Trump.
Whether or not he had much of an impact on the results is debatable. However, there is another big shoe to drop. Trump has given a big hint about a big announcement coming in the next few weeks.
we all know what it is. The midterm elections were just the opening act for the Donald Trump Circus.
The prospect of this man returning to the White House is truly terrifying. Four more years of lies and shaky leadership that characterized his first term could prove to be the death knell for rational American democracy.
The implications for our own country and world order are not pleasant to ponder.
The midterm elections and the resurgence of Donald Trump confirm, to paraphrase the Trump-era trope, that the worst is yet to come is all too real.
