Lara Trump’s tenure at Fox News has ended.
Eric Trump’s wife will no longer be a paid contributor to the network as her father-in-law, Donald Trump, is running for president again, a Fox News spokesperson confirmed to the Daily News on Sunday.
“We would like to thank Lara for her valuable contributions across Fox News Media’s programming,” a representative said in a statement.
According to the Los Angeles Times, which first reported the split, the split is the result of Fox News’ policy of not hiring people involved in political campaigns.
According to the newspaper, Lara Trump is believed to be leaving the network on good terms.
She started working for Fox in March 2021 and hasn’t been on air since the former president announced his candidacy last month. She was a senior consultant during her father-in-law’s 2020 campaign.
Lara Trump, 40, was a frequent guest on Fox News by the time she announced her contributor role last year.
“I feel like I’ve been an unofficial member of the team for a long time,” she said on “Fox & Friends” at the time, according to Deadline.
“You know, the last five years it was kind of a joke. I’m so excited to be here.”
She married Eric Trump in 2014 and has a son and daughter.
