Contrary to the Duke of Sussex’s recent claims, Charles III is reportedly eager to reconcile with Prince Harry.
“Those close to the king, despite many thorns from California, have kept communication channels open over the past few years, always making it clear how much he loves both of his sons. They claim they are,” The Telegraph reported Tuesday, citing sources.
An insider told a British newspaper that Harry’s side of the story was “wrong” and that Charles, 74, and his youngest son, 38, are in touch and are set for Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee in June 2022. He added that they met several times during the celebration.
Their relationship was “strained at times”, but the monarch said “his doors were left open and dukes and dukes [Meghan Markle] According to the report, they are always welcome.
Despite their strained bond, Charles plans to invite Harry and Markle, 41, to their coronation on May 6.

In Harry and Markle’s Netflix documentary series Harry and Meghan, the couple discuss the difficulties they faced before stepping down as senior members of the royal family in 2020.
In one episode, the red-haired royal revealed that William, 40, was furious after he and Markle announced at a family meeting that he and Markle were planning to move to America.
“It was terrifying for my brother to yell and yell at me. My father said things that weren’t true at all, and my grandmother sat there quietly and accepted the whole thing,” he said.
Harry also wonders if he can get a real apology from his family.

The dialogue kicks off the press tour for Harry’s highly anticipated memoir, Spare, out January 10, covering his life both inside and outside the royal family.
