Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake interrupted the music at Tuesday’s press conference and told reporters that she “stood up for the people of Arizona” while a YG song featuring Nipsey Hussle played. “FDT (“F*** Donald Trump”)” exploded loudly behind her.
While in Phoenix, Lake attacked an ongoing voting machine problem reported by Maricopa County and expressed embarrassment at the situation.
“I woke up this morning and within minutes of voting, people were calling me. . Tabulator is not working. They told me to put my ballot in a box and they would drive it downtown to the county.
Mr. Lake lamented that in liberal Arizona, “the machines are fine today” and “not a single machine is spitting out ballots.”
Lake, in particular, is one of many Republicans who have repeatedly supported and backed former President Donald Trump’s baseless claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.
In one particularly comical scene, Lake was heard telling reporters, “Stand up for the people of Arizona” and “Stand up for our children.” “FDT (‘F*** Donald Trump’)” was played in a passing car. The song made her words almost incomprehensible.
She offered a verbal attack after a CBS News reporter asked the politician a question she had previously answered.
“Is this your first time covering this race? Because we have talked about this before. ‘ she said, giving a rather ominous warning. “I’m going to be her worst nightmare in eight years. We’ll reform the media too. We’ll make you journalists again, so get ready. It’s going to be a fun eight years. You.” I can’t wait to work with you.”
The former newscaster is currently feuding with Arizona’s Democratic Secretary of State, Katie Hobbs.
