JCPOA revival negotiations
Italy’s top diplomat also addressed the issue of ongoing negotiations through the European Union for a possible restoration of Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal with the rest of the world.

The Iranian Foreign Minister explained the latest status of the JCPOA revival negotiations and the ongoing cooperation of the Islamic Republic with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
He also expressed his hope that the two countries will further expand their political, economic and cultural ties.
Iran’s top diplomat also thanked Tajani for Italy’s condemnation of the late October terrorist attack on a popular Shia temple in Iran’s southern province of Fars, which led to the deaths of 15 pilgrims.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Iranian official turned to the issue of the current February war between Russia and Ukraine.
Iran’s “principled and unchanging” policy on the conflict is based on “the need for a political solution and the cessation of war,” he said.
