Iran’s Foreign Minister and ECO Secretary General Husraf Nojiri met in Tehran on Wednesday.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Nojiri reported to Amira Vdrahian on the organization’s latest developments and preparations for the 26th ECO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
Amira Rabdrahian reaffirmed Iran’s unconditional support for economic cooperation within the framework of the ECO, describing the organization as one of Tehran’s main priorities in economic cooperation with regional countries.
He also referred to the initiative put forward by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi at the ECO Summit in Ashgabat and called for its accelerated implementation.
Amira Bdrahian hopes to be able to attend the upcoming ECO conference in Tashkent in the coming weeks.
ECO consists of 10 countries: Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Republic of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
The Center for the Study of Political and International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran will host a ceremony in the month of Azar (November 22-December 21) to mark the 30th anniversary of the ECO’s expansion from three to ten provinces.
