Prince Harry and Meghan Markle retired to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor before moving into their swanky Los Angeles mansion.
After moving within the state two years ago, the 38-year-old Duke of Sussex has allowed his cousin Princess Eugenie and her family to temporarily stay at the mansion.

However, in recent months it has remained empty as Princess Eugenie, 32, chose to split her time between London and Portugal.
This means Harry and Meghan, 41, will be able to use the house whenever they return with their children Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1.
Frogmore Cottage was presented to the couple as a gift from the Queen when they got married in 2018.
The five-bedroom home has undergone a major renovation said to cost an estimated £2.4m paid by taxpayers.

But in 2020, Prince Harry confirmed that he and his wife paid off the renovation costs in full.
Here, we take a look inside the idyllic property and how Meghan and Eugenie put their own spin on the interior.

It is reported that Harry, who was always good friends with his cousin, contacted her that he could move in, as it was much larger than her previous cottage at Kensington Palace.
As with many royals, few photos have been shared, but we did get a glimpse of Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank, 36, when they lived there.
Neutral colors seem to be the theme. As seen in the photo of the princess with her best friend Julia Boynville, they sit on a cream sofa in front of a huge blue bookshelf.
The sofa is adorned with a red-edged design and blue-and-white patterned cushions.

Another green cushion seems to be a nice tribute to Eugenie’s son August, who arrived in 2021, and reads “August Born in February.”
Books like Blood and Earth by Kevin Bales, which talks about modern-day slavery, and The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown occupy prominent places on the bookshelf.
Another snap shows a nice photo of Jack sitting on an off-white linen sofa and hugging August.
On Father’s Day this year, Eugenie posted a photo of her husband lying with their son on a black and red rug in what looks like a playroom.
When Harry and Meghan visited the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, friend Camila Holmstrom shared an adorable photo of the pair with their children taken at Lilibet’s first birthday party.
In the background, perhaps a Matisse painting hangs on the wall and an ornate rug covers the floor.

Grade II listed cottages are located on the grounds of Frogmore House, just a few minutes’ drive from the late Queen Elizabeth’s residence at Windsor Castle.
An unnamed royal official once said, “Frogmore, within the Windsor security zone, is a place of secluded, peaceful, quiet and most importantly private.” .
The sprawling Frogmore House was built in the 1680s, has extensive gardens and is the burial place of royals such as Queen Victoria and her husband Prince Albert.
Before Harry and Meghan moved in, the cottage was a series of apartments inhabited by Windsor Estate workers.
It was converted into one large house to make room for the couple and their son Archie.
Designer Vicky Charles, the mastermind behind Soho House, was reportedly selected by the couple to be responsible for the interior upgrades.

Even with a spectacular renovation cost, Frogmore Cottage doesn’t come close to the £11 million Montecito home.
It is said to have nine bedrooms, a spa, tennis courts, an outdoor pool, and a private playground for Archie and Lilibet.
