Kirstie Alley claimed to have been “blackballed” by Hollywood for supporting Donald Trump before she died.

Alley’s support for Republican politicians has been yo-yoed for years, but even in 2021, she said she’s still feeling the effects.
During the 2016 presidential election, Alley initially said she would not vote for Hillary Clinton. Later that year, she tweeted that she would endorse presidential candidate Trump and one of his supporters. to) Hello!this is my official endorsement [Donald Trump] & I’m a woman! By early October 2016, Alley withdrew his support for either candidate, stating that he disliked the election. Nonetheless, she later confirmed she voted for Trump and would vote again in the 2020 election because he is “not a politician.”
“He will get things done quickly and turn the economy around quickly,” she wrote on Twitter in October 2020.

While her outspoken support for Trump was liked by many on social media, Alley later revealed that she felt backlash for her actions.
“People say, ‘You’re so brave.’ I say, ‘No, I think I’m stupid.’ Because honestly, it’s a real blackball situation,” Alley said during an appearance on Fox Nation. tucker carlson today May 2021.

Many celebrities have expressed their admiration and sadness for Alley online after her death, but she felt that was not the case in 2021.
