Moments before, the presenters worried they’d lost their final guest of the show as Brian’s zoom link failed.

But they got him on the phone – and got more than they bargained for.

“We have a crisis in the studio,” Richard told viewers.

Ranvir explained: “Brian was meant to be on a zoom, but the link isn’t working.”

Introducing him, she added: “The only guest you can have on the phone is Brian Blessed because his voice is so recognisable.”

“It’s a lovely morning,” said Brian,

“And this is my favourite show. Richard you’re a big favourite of mine.”

He then launched into talking about a compere of trio of concerts for the 50th anniversary of Tubular bells.

The hosts tried countless times to interrupt Brian to ask him questions, but they were shut down by the comic.

As the show came to an end, Ranvir attempted to get Brian to stop talking so they could hand over to Lorraine.

“We have to say goodbye now, Brian,” she said.

Brian then blasted “ah you rotten pigs” leaving the presenters in hysterics.

One viewer laughed: “Brian Blessed! Neither can get a word in! Nor should they!”

Someone else said: “#GMB has lost control, go on Brian.”

Another remarked: “Can’t get a word in edgeways with Brian Blessed on #gmb.”
