Donald Trump’s redacted tax returns will be released Friday, a spokesman for the US House Ways and Means Committee has confirmed.
A Democratic-controlled commission obtained the filings last month as part of an investigation into the former Republican president’s taxes.
The commission released a report last week that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) broke its own rules by failing to audit three of Trump’s four years in office.
Documents released Friday are expected to include Trump’s tax returns filed from 2015 to 2021.
Trump was the first presidential candidate in decades not to release his tax returns during either campaign.

Trump’s tax returns weren’t released alongside last week’s report because they contained sensitive information that needed to be redacted before it was released, according to committee members.
Democrats on the committee said the report needed to be made public to understand the context of the report, which also contained legislation requiring the IRS to audit the president.
