Former President Donald Trump said he was disappointed that he had not received enough “congratulations and praise” for the country’s “huge success” after the midterm elections. Democrats outperformed expectations this week, which didn’t happen.
While control of the U.S. Congress is still up in the air, Donald Trump has touted the Republican victory as a personal victory as he plans to announce his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election.

In a post on Truth Social on Friday, Donald Trump said he has undeservedly received more criticism than praise.
“I had great endorsement success, both in the Republican nomination and in the General Election itself, probably like no one has ever experienced. Continuing, there was little celebration or accolades,” wrote Donald Trump.
“I still do and I always do!” he added.

Donald Trump said in several posts this week that most of the candidates he endorsed won the election. The former president also suggested, without evidence, that there was a large-scale fraud during the midterm elections due to the loss of some of the Republicans he supported.
US media also reported that Donald Trump was warned next week not to go ahead with his plans to announce the 2024 presidential election. He argued that it was likely that he would regain the White House because of it.
