Corey Graves’ brother, Sam Adonis, has enjoyed immense popularity throughout his career, but not always in the positive spotlight. Occasionally, his fans may do him great harm. Recently, Sam Adonis referred to the “irreparable damage” caused by the Donald Trump supporter gimmick.
Sam Adonis feels that the Donald Trump supporter gimmick he first used nearly six years ago is still by his side. Adonis told Wrestling Inc. that he feels the stunt has hurt his career.
“Oh, I think that character has done irreparable damage to my career. In 2017, there weren’t many individual wrestlers who got more global coverage than I did.I was in GQ Magazine, Vice, Reuters, Newsweek, Bloomberg, everywhere. was talking about me and I was assuming I could paint a “hey guys, that’s wrestling” picture.
On October 30th, recently joined MLW, Adonis will make his Fightland debut. Adonis is intent on forgetting his former persona.
“Ultimately, I think it hurt me at the end of the day. There was no Trump gimmick. , there’s a little craziness sprinkled in there and the trump flag was just a prop to get people involved it did me a lot of damage so now I’m completely out of that point in my career I’m so excited to be able to forget about it.”
