Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit against journalist Bob Woodward for publishing recordings of interviews the former U.S. president gave to journalists in 2019 and 2020. The sole purpose of the book’, however, did not mean that journalists could release the recordings as audiobooks.
“This lawsuit focuses on the systematic misappropriation, manipulation, and exploitation of President Trump’s voice by Mr. Woodward,” Trump’s attorney wrote to Bloomberg.

In response to the lawsuit, Bob Woodward said in a statement, “President Trump’s lawsuit is without merit and we will vigorously defend it. Recorded with acknowledgment and consent.”
Between 2019 and August 2020, Donald Trump participated in 19 face-to-face or telephone interviews with Bob Woodward. After his final interview with Donald Trump, Bob Woodward published his book Rage, followed by a recording by Simon & Schuster named “The Trump Tapes” in October 2022. I released an audiobook.
In the recording, Donald Trump talked about topics such as how his administration held talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. He also talked about handling the Covid pandemic. The lawsuit, which aims to see Donald Trump make a comeback at the White House in 2024, visited the early voting states of New Hampshire and South Carolina earlier this week.
