As many are well aware, Ginny Thomas, political operative and wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, testified before the committee on January 6th. That’s because she was acting like Forrest Gump. She sent a series of text messages to Trump’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows.she communicated with coup d’etat 4 dummies Attorney John Eastman. And he pestered lawmakers in Wisconsin to pick alternative voters.
The committee did not mention Ginny, to the Department of Justice for criminal prosecution, her recently published testimony has much to unravel. The correspondence on texts between Ginny Thomas and Meadows received particular attention from the committee. And there’s a good reason – they’re pretty liberal. That’s what I was doing until now.
Well, that’s a very different picture from what she said in her opening statement. Back when the opening statement was the only information about her testimony, she said she didn’t talk to her husband about her post-election activities. But when this new information works, it becomes even more of a side eye.
Through her testimony, it’s clear that Ginny is trying to stick the needle in not telling you the “details” of working with Clarence (who she’s talking to, who she’s texting, etc.), but what? For some reason, her husband, without knowing the details, provided that even though the world knew that Trump had lost the election to Joe Biden, she had the motive to “hold on.” And she’s really trying to sell the separation of her church and state between her own work and her husband’s. This is… a weird flex for a real lawyer (Ginni is a graduate of Creighton University Law School).
And the public is to swallow the story that it’s pure chance that Clarence has to decide all sorts of disputes that intersect with his wife’s interests.Suspect. Remember, she led the grassroots movement in support of Trump’s travel ban, worked for right-wing think tanks, and led efforts to defeat the Affordable Care Act. And if the Thomas family happens to make ~$700,000 for Ginny’s advocacy work, that’s — oops! — Clarence forgot to report on the disclosure documents.
A lifetime promise means you never have to say sorry.
But Ginny says she regrets the “tone and content” of her text. It’s not that she’s tried more and more desperate means to overthrow a democratic election, so that’s what caught her.
