Everything changes during the end credits. From the beginning, Marvel Studios has placed pre- and post-credits scenes to keep fans in their seats and tease what’s to come.Where Nick Fury debuted, where we first met Thanos and Wanda, teased about Captain Marvel.these are all important, Unforgettable, exciting scene.Still, Marvel’s latest Black Panther: Wakanda Foreverhas the best credits scene in Marvel Studios history.
Of course, arguing about this would mean ruining it, so if you haven’t seen the movie yet, run away and hide now.
Wakanda Forever There’s only one end credits scene, and it’s halfway through. Seconds after the film ends, Shuri (Letitia Wright) is seen still crying on a beach in Haiti, burning her funeral costume marking the end of the mourning of not only her brother, but her mother. Lupita Nyong’o) joins her, but she’s not alone. It turns out that his name is Toussaint (Divine Love Konadu-Sun) and he is the son of T’Challa and Nakia. Yes, that makes him heir to the throne of Wakanda.
Nakia explains that T’Challa wanted Toussaint to grow away from the pressures of the throne, which is why he remained hidden. I have also met Shuri is both surprised and delighted. She chats with her nephew, who now confides her one secret to her. He says “Toussaint” is just his Haitian name. His real name is T’Challa, named after his father.

When the water supply stops, the effect of the scene is very large. First and foremost, of course, T’Challa has a son to keep his name and lineage alive. ‘s decades-ahead hypothesis isn’t why this scene stands atop the MCU’s mountaintop. No, it’s a way to bake what director Ryan Coogler revealed into the film’s actual DNA.
Revealing T’Challa’s son not only packs a big emotional punch, but it also explains some hanging storylines. I have no idea why you didn’t come to the funeral. In fact, she has absolutely no idea why she left Wakanda or how she mourned his death. This scene says it all. T’Challa himself wanted his son out of Wakanda. He also prepared for him and Nakia to pass away. The reveal also explains what Ramonda’s line “I have to tell you about your brother” meant earlier in the film. Lastly, not so exciting, but at least notable, is providing an explanation as to why Nakia called Shuri at the beginning of the film.
Still, meeting the boy brings an even warmer, more loving, and deeper conclusion to the whole film. She, like her brother, rejected her revenge and favored mercy. She’s not Killmonger because she feared it might. Then, when she was ready to move on, her family was bigger and her heart was richer because of this little boy. The possible becomes instantly cathartic and hopeful.
The end-credits scene in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe not only deftly weaves in cool future implications, but it’s also an important addition to the story you’ve just watched. It’s just an overwhelmingly moving reveal, and it’s the cherry on top that it concludes with the film’s official dedication to Chadwick Boseman.
