President Joe Biden delivered a big sports news headline to a Michigan audience after Tuesday’s speech, broadcasting the U.S. team’s victory over Iran in the World Cup game, leading the audience with American chants. Did!
The president had just wrapped up his remarks in Bay City, Michigan, focusing on the economy, gas prices and foreign investment in chip manufacturing. When his entourage showed up to bring the news, he was delighted to hand over to the sounds of “Stars and Stripes Forever” with members of the crowd.
This sent Biden back on stage to announce the development. Team USA advanced to the all-important Round of 16.
“US 1, Iran 0,” Biden said after the US team held off Iran after scoring in the first half.
‘Yo yo yo! united states of america. united states of america! ‘ the president gushed.

”They did!” God loves them
“It’s a big game, man,” he continued with a grin.
“I spoke with the coaches and the players. I said you can do this. They did well,” said Biden, as the US team faces Iran, the top-ranked team in the Asia group. He suggested that he had doubts about this.
‘They did! God loves them,” Biden said. “Anyway, it’s just what you wanted to hear,” he said, and quickly walked off stage after a photographer traveling with him caught a rare sighting.
Biden made no mention of the tense politics of the match. Since his death, he has faced repeated protests.
The White House and Biden administration have repeatedly expressed support for the Iranian people who are taking to the streets to protest for greater freedom.
