TEHRAN – Islamic revolutionary leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei met on Monday with some members of the European Union of Islamic Students’ Associations.
At the conference, Ayatollah Khamenei said the new idea for the Islamic Republic of Iran is to establish a government based on religious beliefs and popular support.
According to meeting materials released by khamenei.ir, the leader described the Islamic Association as one of the assets of the Islamic Republic and said it has a unique mission. Leaders emphasized that sustainability, coherence, environmental impact and accounting for new ideas brought by the Islamic Republic are some of the tasks that the Islamic Society needs to do.
Ayatollah Khamenei honored the memory of the late Dr. Hujat al-Islam, Dr. Ejay, who was one of the founders of the European Union of Islamic Students’ Associations. He also expressed his appreciation for the work of young students with new and revolutionary ideas. Leader said: However, overseas Islamic societies also have another mission: to introduce the basic and central ideas of the Islamic Republic. “
Revolutionary leaders believe that it is an important task to explain the principles of the Islamic Republic, including the connection and relationship between the Republic and Islam. “The new idea brought about by the Islamic Republic is that, in addition to people’s roles, religious principles and beliefs also influence the formation of government,” he explained.
Ayatollah Khamenei also believes that the Islamic Society needs to be updated in line with the current situation while maintaining its principles and foundations. “Some principles and concepts are immutable and eternal, such as the ‘principle of justice’ that has been around for thousands of years and never goes out of fashion. But it is possible to bring about change and use new ways of administering justice. “
The revolutionary leader said the issue of science and scientific progress has become a common debate in the country in recent years. The leader said, “We must not forget the progress of science and the problems that transcend the boundaries of science. You should not imagine that it will lead to being killed,” he emphasized.
At the outset of the conference, Hujat Al-Islam Ahmad Baezi, head of the European Islamic Students’ Association Leaders’ Association, presented a report on the activities and programs of these associations.
