Amazon has launched another discount for Fire TV Media Streamers ahead of Black Friday. This includes the entry-level Fire TV Stick Lite discounted to $15. It’s not the highest price we’ve ever tracked (the streaming stick he dropped to $12 during Amazon’s Prime Day sale last July), but it’s the lowest we’ve seen otherwise. Matches the price. Amazon regularly offers discounts on its streamer lineup, but the Fire TV Stick Lite is a little better than usual, as it usually drops to $20 during sales.

Elsewhere, the Fire TV Stick 4K and the more capable 4K Max are available for $25 and $35 respectively. Again, these are deals we’ve seen a few times in the past, and both prices match the lowest prices we’ve tracked. $2 more expensive than Also note that the previous generation Fire TV Cube retails for $60. This rivals the all-time low for a streamer and smart his speaker meet. New HDMI input and WiFi 6E support. Amazon now touts most of these offers as “Early Black Friday deals,” but there’s always the chance that Black Friday prices will drop.

If you can afford to step up, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is Amazon’s best streaming stick, offering a slightly more powerful CPU and GPU than the Fire TV Stick 4K, plus 0.5GB of memory. Add in. All of this should improve performance in the long run. It also has a WiFi 6 radio if you’ve upgraded or plan to upgrade to a router that supports it. The Fire TV Stick 4K is a solid alternative even if you’re looking to save a few bucks, as it’s physically identical to the 4K Max, has the same voice remote, and features Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HDR10, plus Dolby for audio. It supports Atmos. Like all Fire TV Sticks, it works with nearly all major streaming apps. Performance degrades slightly.

If you’re buying an older TV or don’t need 4K streaming, the Fire TV Stick Lite and base Fire TV Stick max out at 1080p resolution, but offer most of the basic features at a lower cost. Both run the same interface as the 4K model and work in HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG, but do not support Dolby Vision. Also, switching between the app and the Amazon home screen both tend to be sluggish. The Fire TV Stick has buttons for volume, mute, power, and app shortcuts, but the Fire TV Stick Lite does not. Fire TV Stick can also output Dolby Atmos audio to compatible sound systems. However, if you can live without them, the Lite is more or less the same streamer and a few bucks cheaper.

All Fire TV streamers have to deal with an ad-heavy interface that pushes Amazon’s own apps and services heavily, and Roku and Google still sell attractive alternatives for roughly the same price. The former offers a more user-friendly UI, while the latter offers a more comprehensive search and is better at actively recommending shows you like, both perform similarly. If you prefer one of these platforms, trading is still taking place on those devices as well. Roku’s Streaming Stick 4K currently retails for $25, while Google’s 1080p and 4K Chromecast have been slashed to $18 and $40 respectively. If you already use , Alexa, Prime Video, and other Amazon services frequently, or want to sideload additional apps, it should offer good value at the current deal price.
