At some point around 3pm, state police began chasing the vehicle back to Manchester. The van entered Elm Street and headed straight north to the end of the street.
After the stop, the driver fled the car and was chased by police and security guards. When the suspect refused to surrender, state police K-9 was released, the suspect was bitten, and eventually surrendered.
The as-yet-unknown suspect will be taken to Concord Hospital for evaluation, processed and booked at Concord.
