Amazon Fresh never closes.
Despite other grocers announcing plans to close on Thanksgiving, tech grocery said Monday that its stores will remain open all day for last-minute holiday purchases. The grocery store also said it will remain open on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Amazon Fresh has 44 stores in California, Illinois, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Washington, Virginia, and Washington DC.
“With the holidays fast approaching, Amazon Fresh will be open throughout the holiday season to accommodate our customers’ busy schedules and last-minute shopping needs,” the retailer said in a statement. “Amazon Fresh has all the groceries you need, including consistently low prices, great selection, convenient shopping, and multiple payment options.”
Most Amazon Fresh stores feature what retailers call Just Walk Out technology, allowing shoppers to scan a QR code to enter the store and pay for purchases through their Amazon account without going through the checkout aisle. will be charged.
For Thanksgiving, Amazon Fresh will be open for in-store shopping from 7am to 5pm, with pickup and delivery windows from 6am to 7am and 3pm to 5pm.
Most Amazon-owned Whole Foods Markets will also be open on Thanksgiving, though some have limited hours.
Earlier this month, Hy-Vee announced that it would be closing on Thanksgiving for the first time in its 92-year history, allowing its more than 80,000 employees to spend the day with family and friends.
