But have you ever wondered if you can personalize Alexa and tailor its features to suit your needs? Customizing your Echo device is actually pretty easy and well worth the extra effort.
There are several ways to personalize your Echo, from creating your own Alexa responses to setting voice profiles to help Alexa recognize your individual voice. 1. Speed up (or slow down) Alexa

To create a personal reply, go to the Amazon Blueprints page and Custom Q&AClick make it yourself.
Now Alexa will say whatever you want. Your friends will wonder why your Amazon Echo doesn’t return the same response.
3. Create an audio profile on your Echo device
To give yourself and the rest of your family a more personalized experience with Alexa, create voice profiles for everyone. Help Alexa recognize your voice and provide more personalized responses.
To have Alexa learn your voice, open the Alexa app on your smartphone, setting > account settings > recognized voice > Create a voice profile Follow the instructions on the screen and read the four phrases aloud.
To make sure your voice profile is set up correctly, ask “Alexa, who am I?” know who is talking. If other family members want to set up voice profiles, they’ll have to repeat the same process on their phones.
If you don’t want to say Alexa anymore, change your Echo’s wake word.

4. Choose a new Alexa wake word
When you take Echo out of the box for the first time, the default wake word it responds to is Alexa. However, the wake word can be changed at any time. Amazon’s other traditional options for summoning voice assistants are Computer, Amazon, and Echo, but there are others. If you want to change the name, just say “Alexa, change the wake word” and choose another option. Or, if you’re not near your Echo speaker, you can open the Alexa app and navigate to: setting. 5. Create a routine for your day
If you already use your Echo to turn on the lights, listen to the news, and make coffee pots every morning, why not group all these commands together? Set up Alexa Routines It helps me get through the morning and other parts of the day.
You can combine multiple commands into one by creating a routine. For example, “Alexa, start my day” can turn on the lights, start the coffee maker, and play music at the same time.
To get started, open the menu in the Alexa app and tap routineThen click the plus sign icon to create a routine.
